Roll · Scene · Take · Again

Scene one.
Take two.

FilmSlate was a digital clapperboard for the iPhone. It ran timecode, logged takes, and clapped loud enough for the boom op in the back. Then it went dark, the way apps do. We rebuilt the heart of it right here, in your browser, to find out one thing: does anyone still want it?

Clap it. Log a few takes. If you'd use it on a real set, say so below. Shooting the tonight? Even better.

Space bar claps. The take number moves up by itself after each clap, the way your second AC wishes it would. Timecode comes from your device clock: fine for fun and for rehearsal, but don't sync a feature to a browser tab.

Take log

  1. No claps yet. The set is quiet. Too quiet.

What the app used to do

The original went dark when the platform moved on and we didn't. A comeback would be rebuilt from scratch for today's phones. Whether it comes back depends on you.

Bring it back?
